Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is celebrating his 37th birthday today, and the social media is filled with well-wishes for the cricketer.
Yet, it's his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, stood out as she posted a unique Instagram post dedicated to her "favourite boy" on this special occasion. She has shared a series of photos that are bound to captivate your interest.
The initial image portrays her alongside Rohit and their daughter Samaira. Other snapshots beautifully capture tender father-daughter moments between the cricketer and his child.
Referring to Rohit as her cherished one, she affectionately described him as her preferred individual and conveyed how much brighter her world becomes with him in it.
She concluded her message by extending heartfelt wishes to the Indian skipper for all his dreams to materialise.
“Happiest birthday to my favourite boy. You make the world a better place just by being in it. To know you is to love you. May this year be filled with happy surprises, dreams come true and lots and lots of love and luck. May the Gods come together and give you everything your heart desires. Love you Ro,” Ritika wrote on Instagram.
Remember, Rohit tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend and sports manager Ritika Sajdeh in 2015. He welcomed a baby girl into the world in 2018.
Born on 30th April 1987 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, Rohit Sharma's modest beginnings didn't hinder his aspirations to become India's best.
He made his international cricket debut in an ODI against Ireland in 2007. Following the T20 World Cup victory under MS Dhoni's captaincy, Sharma's remarkable performances have endeared him to millions globally. He is renowned for his double centuries in ODIs and stands alone as the sole player to achieve this feat three times.
With over 10,000 runs in ODIs, including 31 centuries and 55 fifties, Sharma maintains a stunning average exceeding 49. In T20 Internationals, he boasts five centuries, the most by any player in this abbreviated format.
On the other hand, Sharma's IPL career is equally illustrious. Debuting in the inaugural season of IPL in 2008 with the Deccan Chargers, he later joined the Mumbai Indians, where his leadership and contributions have been instrumental in their success.
Under his leadership, Mumbai Indians clinched five IPL titles, cementing their status as one of the most successful teams in IPL history.
